Billing Statements and Due Dates

A student who enrolls at Northeastern State University incurs a financial obligation. The Business Office mails a billing statement to the student’s permanent address. This statement details charges and payments that occurred since the previous statement.

Enrollment charges are due each semester by the first day of classes. Residents living in on-campus housing may elect to pay room and board charges in quarterly payments with the first payment due by the first day of classes and subsequent payments due on the 15th of each month. All other charges are due on the 15th of each month.

If your account becomes past due, late fees are posted to your account, enrollment for future semesters is not allowed, transcripts and diplomas are not released until the past due balance is paid, and access to charge accounts may be denied. A letter informing you of these fees and holds is mailed to your address on file.

If you should have to leave NSU owing a balance on your account, please contact the Business Affairs office to make payment arrangements. Any charges incurred by the University in an attempt to collect on delinquent accounts are assessed to and the responsibility of the account holder. Delinquent account information is disclosed to credit reporting agencies, which could endanger your credit rating.
