Do I have to activate the card to get my refund?
The card is your key for selecting how you would like to receive your refund. You are encouraged to activate your refund preference right away in order to ensure prompt delivery of your refund money. By not activating the refund preference online, you may delay the delivery of your refund.

Do I have to use the debit card function associated with my refund card?
While you are required to have a card by the University, the OneAccount and its MasterCard debit card functionality are completely optional. The basic purpose of the card is to enable students to select how they would like to receive refunds or other funds owed to them by NSU. The activation process is not to be interpreted as an activation of the debit card functionality. By not activating the refund preference online, you may delay the delivery of your refund.

Are there fees associated with having a OneAccount?
Unlike most checking accounts, the OneAccount has a minimal number of fees that are kept as low as reasonably possible. There are a few reasons why a cardholder may be charged a fee.
Some fees are for services, like wire transfers, cash advances, check printing, or official checks; which are connected to services explicitly requested by the account holder. Others are for non Higher One ATM use, replacement card fees, or penalties for overdrawing the account.
A full list of current fees (and explanations) can be found in the Fee Schedule. For student's with active accounts, a link to this schedule is conveniently located on the top portion of your OneAccount online statement; and for all others, it can also be found in the 'Learn More' section of the NSU Green Card website.

What if I am transferring from another school that is affiliated with Higher One?
When you go to activate your NSU Green Card, enter in your email address from your first school's account (School A).
The email you use is already in the system under your School A account. Instead of receiving an error, the system figures out that this is a student who is attending two Higher One Schools. You will be prompted to either change the email address, or enter your password associated with that email.
If you enter in the correct password, you will have the option to cancel your card from School A (original or “primary” card).
Your two accounts will then be merged into one – any financial aid refunds, addresses/phones, or pre-deposits, etc. will be associated to your old account, and the logo will reflect your new school, NSU.
You may also call Customer Care using the number on the back of your card - 8am-8pm EST, Mon-Fri for additional assistance.
