Outstanding Freshman Award

In an attempt to recognize and honor those freshmen who have made outstanding contributions to campus and community life while maintaining high academic standards, the office of First-Year Experience coordinates the Outstanding Freshman Award every year during the Spring semester. Recipients must exemplify dedication to campus and community life through involvement and leadership in on-campus organizations and activities, as well as community functions. Recipients must also demonstrate high academic standards by holding a minimum GPA of 3.25. Finalists are selected from a larger pool of applicants to receive the Outstanding Freshman Award, and we recognize those finalists selected. The Most Outstanding Freshman Male and the Most Outstanding Freshman Female will be announced at a reception toward the end of the Spring semester.
