    Maintaining F-1 Status

To maintain your F-1 student status:

You must complete at least 12 credit hours and earn a letter grade every fall and spring semester. Only one course (3 credit hours) can be an online course.

You are not allowed to drop below 12 credit hours at any point in the semester. Doing so will cause you to fall out of status.

You are not allowed to accept any off campus employment. After completing one semester of study at NSU, you are eligible to apply for work on campus.
