Student Health Insurance

NSU remains committed to health and welfare of its international students.

The United States does not have a national health insurance program. International students attending the University are not eligible for government assistance with medical bills.

International Students

Students are strongly encouraged to purchase adequate medical insurance prior to traveling to the U.S. either by using their private in-country health insurance provider or the NSU preferred health insurance provider.

Should international students arrive on campus without adequate health insurance coverage NSU will provide this at nominal cost. Health insurance is now a requirement of all students to attend NSU and the health of our students remains a paramount concern.

Study Abroad

Global health insurance is also required for NSU students who plan to study abroad and this may be purchased online through our preferred health insurance provider.
