Applications for Miss NANSU are now being accepted! The deadline to apply is Friday, March 2.

Eligibility Requirements
• Full-Time female students attending Northeastern State University
• Proof of tribal membership in a federally recognized tribe
• Must not be married
• Must not have any dependents
• GPA must be 2.5 or higher
• Must be/become an active member of at least one of the Native American organization meetings on campus.
• Must not have served as Miss Native American NSU

Application Requirements

• Completion of General Application
• Verification of enrollment with a federally recognized tribe
• Completion of Academic Requirement Form: Authorization Release Form
• Recommendation Letter from Faculty of NSU
• Color or Black/White photograph (preferably in traditional regalia)

Applications will be due March 2, 2018.
Applications should be placed in a sealed envelope and turned into either to the Center for Tribal Studies, Sky Wildcat (email: wildca01@nsuok.edu), or any of the current Miss Native American NSU Delegates. The Pageant’s location will be selected in February and interviews will occur the day of the pageant.

Northeastern State University has seven recognized student organizations specifically for Native students, including Alpha Pi Omega Sorority, American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL), Cherokee Promise, Indian University Scholars Society (IUSS), Native American Student Association (NASA),  and Phi Sigma Nu Fraternity.
