Welcome Week Activities
Held during the first week of classes each fall, Welcome Week activities offer students the chance to get acquainted, be entertained, and learn about NSU and the Tahlequah community.
The Center sponsors events such as cookouts, glow bowling, and karaoke with door prizes and refreshments. Check out the calendar of events on the NSU Homepage.
Annual Symposium on the American Indian
The Center collaborates with the American Indian Heritage Committee to plan and facilitate the Annual Symposium on the American Indian, a major event on the NSU campus.
Students are encouraged to attend and to be active participants as presenters, facilitators, or general volunteers. the event highlights cultures, histories, politics, and other issues of American Indians.
Annual American Indian Graduation Convocation
Each May, the Center sponsors the Annual American Indian Graduation Convocation. This special ceremony commemorates the legacy of American Indian education at NSU.
Each participating graduate is presented with a green and white stole to wear with the traditional graduation regalia. Fall, spring, and summer graduates are invited to participate.
