Peter Henshaw

Relevant Awards: First place in several University Photographers' Association of America photo contests and awards from OCPRA; Academic Achievement Award for MA Communications from NSU in 2011; first place photography awards in journalism from the Nevada Press Association, Oklahoma Press Association and National Newspaper Association; and also received Photo of the Year and the Sequoyah Award.

Fun Fact: I'm from a very small southeastern Oklahoma town called Octavia. It is one of my favorite places to be, and a very beautiful part of Oklahoma way back in the Kiamichi Mountains. It is also known to be right up the road from Honobia, that is famous for reported Bigfoot sightings and local stories.

This documentary won National and International Awards in Rome, Italy; Luton, England; San Francisco, California; Wilmington, South Carolina; Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; Dahlonega, Georgia; Tampa, Florida; Memphis, Tennessee and Huston, Texas. Oklahoma State University Audio Visual Recording Specialist. Live interviews and recordings with Oklahoma Historian, Angie Debo, who was living in Marshall, Oklahoma. Ms. Debo’s expertise was writing about the American Indian. Editor and narrator of several National Public Radio programs on Ms. Debo. All of the live Angie Debo Recordings were donated to the Oklahoma State University Library Archives. Director’s Assistant, research, sound recording & sound effects for the Angie Debo documentary, “Indians, Outlaws and Angie Debo.” Produced by WGBH-Boston. Newscaster for WYZE, Talk Radio, Atlanta, Ga. Newscaster & reporter (and sometimes DJ) for radio stations KOSU/KVRO-Stillwater.
