1. What are the China Opportunities?

China Opportunities are administered by the Instructional Coordinator of Asian Programs from the Office of International Programs. Compared with other NSU Go Abroad programs, the China Opportunity features:
  • Options - study, intern, or work
  • Eligibility - all NSU community members
  • Academics - some trips with credit available
  • Financial Help - partial or all fees waiver according to the host university policies
  • Application Deadline - always available for intern and work option

3. Apply for the China Opportunities

  1. Contact Instructional Coordinator of Asian Programs for enrollment
    Please complete the NSU Study Abroad in China Application and contact the Instructional Coordinator of Asian Programs.
  2. Apply for a Study Abroad Grant
    Once you are admitted to China Opportunity, you may apply for a Study Abroad Grant.

4. Before you Leave

  1. Pre-Departure Orientation
    The Office of International Programs holds a Pre-Departure Orientation for students who participate in ISEP programs. The China Opportunity participants are welcome to join the orientation. Pre-Departure Orientation is scheduled at the end of the semester before students leave. A pre-departure orientation packet is provided to students which includes the Agenda, Study Abroad Do’s and Don’ts, Academic Matters, Safety Tips, Contact List, and Culture Shock. NSU Police Department, Bursar Office and Registrar Office may give presentations.

5. After you arrive

The Study Abroad Coordinator will email you to confirm your safety after your arrival in the host country.
