Clean your living space often
Little things like cleaning your surfaces, door knobs, keyboards, mouse & phone can help keep you healthy.
Get 8 hours of sleep every night
Sleep has a huge impact on our lives. It directly affects; immunity, mental clarity and emotions. Be disciplined and make sleep a priority!
Exercise & keep Active
Moving your body for at least 30 min a day should be a priority. Keeping active can help improve sleep and brain performance.
Eat whole foods
Cut out the junk and rely on your food as fuel for your body. Think about using the 80/20 rule (80% healthy choices, 20% unhealthy choices). Pizza at midnight isn't always bad as long as it isn't every night.
Have a party strategy
Be smart and know your limits. Never go to a party alone, make sure a trusted friend is with you. Avoid binge drinking; it never ends well. Parties can be physically and emotionally taxing on your body. Make sure to always listen to your body.
Having water with you is always good. Water cleanses your body and transports vitamins and nutrients to give you energy. Hydration is important to your mental and physical health. Try to work up to drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces daily.
Listen to your body
If something doesn't feel right, whether physical, mental, or emotional, it is time to stop and check in with your body. Stress, fatigue and a crazy college schedule can take their toll on your body. Stepping back and taking a break is good for your body and health.
