Hello! I am a University Representative for Northeastern State University that oversees the Northwest and North Central Oklahoma regions. In May of 2024, I received my bachelors degree in Psychology, and I am currently pursuing a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NSU!

Thanks to the very welcoming atmosphere of Northeastern State University, and the community of Tahlequah, it was very easy to find a home here, especially through being involved in student organizations, such as the RiverHawk Fanatics and the Fraternity of Pi Kappa Alpha. These organizations were the first two I joined and stayed with the longest! At NSU there is a strong emphasis on building a lasting connection and network with each other throughout all four years and onward.

There are hundreds of opportunities all throughout the university to become involved and add really amazing outcomes to the list of outcomes that you will gain here at Northeastern State University. It is so much more than just earning a degree, you will make so many lasting connections and friendships, grow as a person, and learn many beneficial life experiences and skills. NSU has truly allowed me to be the person I am today and the person I will become in the near future.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or discussion about Northeastern State University. We are here for YOU and happy to help you become the best RiverHawk that you can be! Go RiverHawks!!🤙

Favorite Aspect of NSU:

When it comes to my favorite aspect of NSU I would say that I love the community of the university and the town as a whole. Coming from a very small high school, the community of NSU made it very easy to transition and feel comfortable; this made NSU feel like home away from home.

Favorite Spot on Campus:

The best place to be on campus is the Underground! No, I don't mean literally being underground - The Underground is an area that is used for many different activities and resources. From Chick-fil-a to the Office of Student Engagement there are many resources at your disposal, as well as it being a great place to meet friends, grab a snack, and socialize!

Why I love my Job:

I love my job for two reasons: I get to represent the university that I graduated from and currently attend, and I get to work with amazing people!

Advice to prospective students:

My one piece of advice that I would give to any student would be to come to college with an open mind and don't be afraid of change! College, no matter what university you attend, is a pivotal moment in your life since it is during a time of great change! I strongly believe change is necessary; do your best to let that change happen!
