What does 'Undeclared/Declared' mean?
Undeclared Student:
An undeclared student has not yet selected a major. This status is common for first-time
freshmen or students who are still exploring their academic and career options. Undeclared
students complete general education requirements while working with an advisor to
determine the best degree path.
Declared Student:
A declared student has officially selected a major and confirmed their intended degree
path. Once declared, students are advised within their specific academic college and
begin focusing on coursework required for their chosen program.
