Residency Status

Residency

Residency determination can often be a complicated issue as there are many aspects to be considered. If you feel you should be considered for resident status, in most cases we will need more information than was provided on the application for admission. Below is a list of resources to assist you with the process:

Undocumented Students

Students who cannot present NSU with valid documentation of US citizenship or an immigration status permitting study at a US institution, but who have graduated from a public or private high school in Oklahoma, may be eligible for enrollment and resident tuition if they fill out an Affidavit of Intent (pdf) with Northeastern State University.

Note: Be advised that students completing the Affidavit of Intent may not meet federal student aid eligibility requirements. Please check with NSU's Financial Aid office for more information.
