Course Evaluations

Course Evaluations

Students may request that courses be evaluated to satisfy major, minor, or general education requirements, provided the student received the minimum required grade in the course and the course is not already being used to satisfy other requirements.

For transfer courses, students should submit the following to his/her academic advisor:
Full name, Student ID/N#, name of the college/university where the course was taken, course number, course title, and course description. The academic advisor will submit this information to the appropriate department for evaluation. If approved, the course equivalency/substitution will be reflected on the student's degree audit. In some cases, the department may request a syllabus for the course; it will be the responsibility of the student to provide this information.

For NSU courses, students should submit the following to his/her academic advisor:
Full name, Student ID/N#, course number, course title, and a description of the request (major core or elective credit, minor credit, specific general education category). The academic advisor will submit this information to the appropriate department for evaluation. If approved, the course equivalency/substitution will be reflected on the student's degree audit.
