Academic Advisement
NSU offers new freshmen and undeclared students a team of Academic Advisors in the
University Advising Center who will serve as your advisors until you declare a major.
They provide help with enrollment, understanding general education requirements, and
academic support.
Transfer students and students with declared majors will be advised Academic Advisors
in the colleges (Business & Technology, Education, Liberal Arts, or Science & Health
Professions) . Academic Advisors assist with enrollment, understanding major, minor
and overall graduation requirements.
Degree Works Audit
NSU offers you the Degree Works program that tracks progress toward your degree. You can use this program to see what classes you will need for your degree and even play the what if game with several majors if you are currently undecided on a major.
NSU Tutoring Services
NSU offers free tutoring in math, reading, writing, and communication. Details on times and locations will be given to you in University Strategies. For further information, times and locations are located on the Tutoring Services website.

NSU offers free 24/7 tutoring in many different subjects. You can connect with an instructor online in writing, math, chemistry, physics, business, marketing....and much more! You can submit a paragraph or a whole paper and receive feedback within 24 hours. You can schedule a session with an instructor, or submit a question and receive an answer within 24 hours. Tutor.com also offers study guides and study skill resources! Tutor.com can be accessed through a student's Blackboard class tools on the NSU website.
