ID Information

OBTAINING YOUR NSU ID CARD

NSU ID Cards

In order to receive your NSU ID Card a valid photo ID must be presented to the ID Office. Faculty and staff must also present a new hire paperwork from Human Resources. The initial NSU ID card is FREE, however, replacement ID cards are $10.

Who May Have a Card?

The ID Services Office is authorized to prepare NSU ID cards only for enrolled students, faculty, and staff members of the Northeastern State University community.

Caring for your ID Card

Please treat your NSU ID card with care. Holes, creases, and improperly applied validation stickers will make the card inoperable. Do not bend the card or leave it in direct sunlight, near other sources of heat, or in contact with magnetic fields. Please see information about Replacement NSU ID Card for details.

Uses of your NSU ID Card

ID cards may be used for general identification purposes, entry to secured areas such as on-campus computer labs, athletic events, and campus buildings. ID cards are also used for purchases in the RiverHawk Shoppes (books, educational supplies, and book bags only), dining service locations on campus, and to check out books at any of the NSU libraries.

Features

The front of the NSU ID card displays your photo, name, and NSU ID number. The back of the card has both a barcode and a magnetic strip. The barcode is used for identification by NSU libraries. The magnetic strip provides access to buildings and on campus purchases.
