Annually a Committee of Representatives from the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, the Native American Student Association, Alpha Pi Omega Inc., Phi Sigma Nu Inc., and American Indian Business Leaders come together to select a young woman to represent the Native community at NSU.

I am Elizabeth Rae Hummingbird. I am the daughter of Deanna Hummingbird and Delbert Swake and the granddaughter of Lucille and Jake Hummingbird. I am from Greasy, Oklahoma. I am 20 years old and a sophomore. I am a Healthcare Administration major with a minor in Social Welfare/Cherokee.
