TEACHING

Dr. Latricia Pack

Professor of Optometry
26 Years of Service

Dr. Pack is a Professor in the Oklahoma College of Optometry at NSU. She is the course instructor for Contact Lenses I and Contact Lenses II and assists with teaching Contact Lenses III. She has served as Supervisor of the Cornea and Contact Lenses Residency since 2004 and Contact Lens Clinic Chief since 2009. Her clinical duties are primarily in the contact lens clinic. Dr. Pack received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Oklahoma State University, then completed an O.D. degree and a Residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Northeastern State University. Dr. Pack is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and currently serves on the Executive Board of the Association of Optometric Contact Lens Educators.

RESEARCH

Dr. Michael J. Morgan

Associate Professor of Biology

Dr. Michael Morgan is a molecular and cellular biologist that has spent his extensive research career studying the processes of cell death, autophagy and metastasis as they pertain to cancer. He received his undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Biochemistry, from Brigham Young University and his Ph.D in Oncological Sciences from the University of Utah. After completing postdoctoral work in the Department of Cancer Biology at Wake Forest University and at the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of health, he conducted research at the University of Colorado School of Medicine for several years in the Department of Pharmacology, before coming to NSU in 2018 to build an undergraduate research program here. His more than 50 research publications have been published in such significant journals as Molecular Cell, Nature Immunology, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America. In addition to research, Dr. Morgan highly enjoys teaching undergraduate courses, especially Introductory Biology and Cell Biology.

Dr. Rebekah Doyle

Assistant Professor in Criminal Justice & Sociology

Dr. Rebekah Doyle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology. She earned a B.S. in Nursing from Northeastern State University, a Master of Science in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Arkansas Tech University, a Ph.D. in Public Health from Walden University, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern State University. Dr. Doyle serves as program coordinator for the B.S. in Homeland Security and Emergency Management and for the Certificate of Emergency Management and Planning. Dr. Doyle served as Homeland Security Region V Emergency Preparedness and Response Bioterrorism nurse for the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Additionally, she served on the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) grant review board. Dr. Doyle is an Oklahoma Public Health Leadership Institute Fellow. She is a board member of the American Red Cross TAOK Board of Directors and appointed as the Regional Higher Education Representative for the American Red Cross-Oklahoma by the Northeast Board of Directors.
