Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Institutional Review Board
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) assures that researchers take appropriate steps to protect the rights and welfare of humans participating as subjects in research projects. Researchers at Northeastern State University are required to have their research projects involving human participants approved by the IRB before beginning their research. Failure to do so is considered research misconduct. To begin the approval process, download the most current version of the NSU IRB application.(To complete the IRB Research Application, please download the Microsoft Word (.docx) document or Click Open with Google Docs > File > Make a Copy.) On your computer, input your information along with cutting and pasting all files into the document. Submit the one final document via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please view the NSU IRB Researcher Training video for basic information regarding the NSU IRB processes. You will then self-report that you have viewed the video by clicking on the Google link that follows and include your name and official email address (that will appear on your researcher application). Your self-reporting will only be obtainable by those who have oversight capacity for the NSU IRB.
