Cabinet Meeting Notes October 23, 2012

Tuesday, October 23, 2012 | 9 a.m. | President's Office (Conference Room)
Cabinet was called to order by Provost Rugg at 9:00 a.m.
Members present: Dr. William Rugg, Mr. David Koehn, Mr. Tim Foutch,
Members not present: Dr. Steve Turner, Dr. Laura Boren, and Mr. Jerry Cook. All were attending out-of-state/campus/town meetings respectively.
Cabinet reviewed and approved, with changes, the Cabinet notes from October 2 and 16.

Capitol Project Update

Tim Foutch reported that all projects are progressing as planned. See below for detailed list of activities.

Administration Building Roof Replacement

  • All base-level roofing complete.
  • Metal gutter, soffit panels, and metal wall panel installation scheduled for completion 11/02/12.
  • All HVAC units are on roof surface.
  • Gas piping to begin 10/23/12.

UC Market Caf Remodel

  • Tile installation scheduled for completion 10/23/12.
  • Kitchen equipment install to begin 10/24/12.
  • Roof installation rejected due to pour application, repairs underway.
  • Soft opening scheduled for 10/31/12.

Multi Purpose Event Center

  • Final slab concrete pour scheduled for 10/26/12.
  • Steel delivery to begin late November.
  • Parking areas are to sub grade and will receive rock covering over the next few weeks.

Library Grant A & F

  • Signage delivery expected by 10/31/12.
  • Punch list items being addressed.
  • Light switch adds are underway.

Fitness Center Pool Deck Repair

  • Pool deck install complete.
  • Awaiting delivery of epoxy coated rebar for deck support structure.
  • Deck concrete pour scheduled to begin 10/29/12.

Parking Phase 2 and 3

  • Phase 2 (Crafton Street) concrete is complete.
  • Final grading scheduled for completion 10/29/12.
  • Striping scheduled for completion 10/26/12.
  • Phase 3 (North Leoser) grading continuing Concrete work to begin 10/29/12.

Audit Update

Item tabled until future meeting when all members are present.

Computer Security on Campus

Item tabled until future meeting when all members are present.

CEL Discussion

Preliminary discussions began regarding programming. It was determined that future discussions would be required regarding needs of the program after June 2013 and will be based on revenue projections.
