April 14, 2015 Cabinet Meeting Notes

President's Office Conference Room

Cabinet was called to order by Provost Arant at 9:00 a.m.

Members present were: Dr. Mark Arant, Mr. David Koehn, and Dr. Laura Boren

Members absent were: Dr. Steve Turner and Mr. Ben Hardcastle

Fund Deficit Policy

Mr. Koehn continued discussions regarding the Budget Deficit Policy Draft that was handed out at a previous meeting. He reviewed the additional language requested for notification of Account Sponsors and respective Cabinet members. The members present approved that the revised document be forwarded to President Turner for final approval.

Banner Operations Committee

Mr. Koehn provided a proposal to Cabinet members from the Banner Operations Committee regarding the implementation of a pop-up reminder to update address information for students and employees. This is a proactive approach allowing for optimized communication efforts and better use of time and resources spent on address challenges. The proposal would be a two-step implementation process to include students first and then employees on the Luminis page. Members in attendance approved to move forward with the implementation.
