CABINET MEETING NOTES

Members in Attendance: Steve Turner, Debbie Landry, Jerrid Freeman, Christy Landsaw, and Dan Mabery

Members Absent:  none

The meeting began at 9:00 a.m.

President Turner welcomed the group.

Enrollment/Retention
Provost Landry handed out a report showing details on retention efforts related to cohort groups from fall 2020 back to fall 2011. The group discussed what we need to do get them involved.  Provost Landry and VP Freeman reported that enrollment is down.  The numbers are -1.8% HC and -3.7% CH with transfer numbers at -11%.  Freshman numbers are up 49% and graduate number remaining up at 19.8%.

HLC Student Survey
Provost Landry handed out a survey report from HLC to our student body.  She discussed responses and what the information tells us.

Capital Project Updates
VP Landsaw updated the group on all of the capital projects underway.  All are moving along as expected.

HEERF III/ARP Student Distribution #1
VP Landsaw reported that funds would be received by students on July 22.  The group discussed how funds needed to be divided between summer and fall students.  After discussing the options, members were good with the first disbursement.

Creating Themed Zones with Campus Banners
VP Mabery reported that requests have been made by groups to have personalized department banners.  The group discussed what has been done in the past.  Mr. Mabery will review past records and bring item back later.

COVID Email Draft
VP Mabery reported updates to the COVID email that will be sent to employees prior to July 1.  He stated that the information will also be posted on the COVID webpage.

June RUSO Board Item Review
President Turner reviewed the board items that had been submitted to RUSO for approval for the June meeting.

Financial Literacy for OSRHE
President Turner informed the group that financial literacy information has been requested by OSRHE.  VP Landsaw will ask the Bursar to pull the information together for the report.
SB683 Discussion
President Turner informed the group of the bill that will determine how OTRS is entered.

Foundation 50th Anniversary – July 24, 2021 – 5:00-7:00 p.m.
President Turner informed Cabinet about plans underway to hold a 50th anniversary event for the Foundation.
