CABINET MEETING NOTES

Members in Attendance: Debbie Landry, Jerrid Freeman, Christy Landsaw, and Dan Mabery

Members Absent:  Steve Turner

The meeting began at 9:00 a.m.

Provost Landry facilitated the meeting and welcomed the group.

Money Wise
VP Mabery updated the group on a company based in Canada that reported on survey results that ranked NSU in a negative manner. It was noted that their information was not from valid sources.

Tulsa Chamber State of Education
VP Mabery informed the group that NSU will have two tables at the Tulsa Chamber State of Education event in July.

Retiree’s Email
VP Landsaw discussed with the group current practices related to retiree’s email accounts. The group discussed needs and Ms. Landsaw will bring more information back in order to determine needs.

Phishing Attempt Results
VP Landsaw reported that during the past phishing attempt drill, there were minimal numbers that clicked on the test email that had been sent out. She reported that the drills will become harder.

Multifactor Authenticity
VP Landsaw updated the group on efforts underway to make NSU’s systems more secure. More to come as a plan is developed.

Lewis Street Drawings
VP Landsaw provided drawings of plans for options of the closure area. Cabinet selected the drawing that reflected the best option for our needs.

Enrollment Update
VP Freeman and Provost Landry reported that our fall enrollment numbers are positive .8% for HC but CH are down by 1.4%. Graduate numbers continue to rise. 

MOU with TCC:  Disability Service
VP Freeman informed the group that NSU is currently working on a system that will eliminate and facilitate issues and process for transfer students.

Music Licensing Update
VP Freeman updated the group on efforts that are currently underway to negotiate music licensing that will allow NSU to play licensed music publicly. It is expected that arrangements will be made and finalized by the end of the summer.

Call Night Update
VP Freeman reported that the last call night went well.
