The meeting began at 9:00 a.m.

Cabinet Photo
VP Mabery has planned for Cabinet to take a group photo next week.

Leadership Tahlequah
VP Mabery reported that applications for anyone wanting to participate in this year’s class need to turn in their application by July 15. The group discussed who from NSU should participate. It was determined that Dr. Swearingen and Matt Cochran will participate this year.

Enrollment Update
VP Freeman and Provost Landry reported that both HC and CH are down at this time. HC is down .5% while CH is down 3.0%. Graduate numbers continue to do well.

Opening Meeting Discussion
The group continued discussions regarding needs for Opening Meeting. The topic list was the focus of today’s discussion.

Cherokee Tribal Council Presentation – July 12
President Turner reported that he will provide a Seminary Hall renovation update at the July 12 Cherokee Tribal Council meeting.

PLC Trip – Philadelphia – July 7-11
President Turner informed the group that the PLC Senior trip this year will take place in Philadelphia. It is too risky to take a group to Washington, DC as is typically done.

The group took a break and then continued with COVID Cabinet.
