Model the Way
Each year, the President’s Model the Way award is presented to two faculty and two staff members who exemplify service above self, tireless effort to promote the mission of the University, and a sense of community and collegiality among their fellow employees.
Recipients are recognized during the Employee Recognition Program. The honorees will receive a $1,000 check from the NSU Foundation and have his or her name engraved on a plaque that will reside in the Administration Building.
Dr. Jennifer Edwards
Dr. Jennifer Edwards, Professor of Sociology, has had a profound and positive, life-changing
impact on students, colleagues and the wider community since joining Northeastern
State University in 2003.
Dr. Jessica Martin
Dr. Jessica Martin, Dean of the Gregg Wadley College of Science & Health Professions,
19 years of service, is described as leading by example with compassion and dedication,
and by fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where both students and colleagues
feel empowered to succeed.
Marcey Mitcham
Marcey Mitcham, Sr. Coordinator of Student Disability Services has been with NSU 13
years and is known for her unwavering commitment to student success. She consistently
goes above and beyond to support students, always willing to listen, problem solve,
and lend a helping hand. Marcey’s reliability, positive attitude, and dedication to
doing what’s best for students truly make her a model for others to follow.
Kristen Keyser
Kristen Keyser, Admissions Record Specialist in the Graduate College, 8 years of service,
is described as extremely diligent and conscientious. She fosters an inclusive, welcoming
environment and is always willing to go the extra mile.
