Clubs and Organizations

From networking to leadership opportunities, NSU’s over 80 clubs and organizations allow our students to build lasting relationships while getting the full college experience.

Homecoming

In 1924, NSU hosted its first-ever homecoming. One hundred years later, NSU and the Alumni Association invite you to return to NSU for the centennial celebration - Forever Green.

Graduate College

Whether transitioning to graduate school or returning to higher education, NSU’s graduate college is your next step. Choose from over 25 master's degrees and several certificate programs.

TRIO Student Support Services

Trio Support Services

TRIO Student Support Services is an academic support program designed to increase the academic performance, retention rates and graduation rates of 175 program participants. A grant program fund through the U.S. Department of Education, SSS offers academic advising, financial aid counseling, career major counseling, personal support, one-on-one tutoring, academic support programs, computer training, and social cultural activities.

At this time, TRIO Student Support Services' grant program is funded to serve students on the NSU- Tahlequah Campus only.

How Does A Student Qualify for SSS?

  1. Be enrolled at NSU (Tahlequah campus only).
  2. Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

Meet 1 or more of the following:

  1. Be a first-generation college student (neither parent has a bachelor's degree);
  2. Meet an income guideline (determined each year by the U.S. Department of Education);
  3. Have a documented disability and be registered with Student Disability Services at NSU;
  4. AND demonstrate academic need.

To document financial eligibility, students must provide a copy of their federal tax forms.

Mission:

TRIO SSS is designed to increase the academic performance, retention, and graduation rates of 175 underrepresented students attending Northeastern State University. TRIO SSS is committed to providing academic and non-academic support that is facilitated through customized services. We build and maintain a connection with our participants, helping them to flourish while navigating the wonderful experiences that come with post-secondary education. We provide a support system for students who are low-income, first-generation, and/or have a disability, empowering them to surpass their academic goals.

The vision of TRIO Student Support Services is to provide personal and academic support, motivating each participant to strive for academic excellence and strengthening their opportunities for future success.
