What Can I Do With A Major In General Studies?

General Studies

While the Bachelor of General Studies degree does not qualify or certify someone for a particular job or career, the breadth of knowledge a student obtains through three different core areas allows for a diversified graduate capable of adapting to various careers.

Some students pursuing a Bachelor of General Studies degree already have a job and need a four-year degree to move up in their present position, while others are unsure of a major and enjoy the freedom to choose three different core areas. All minors at NSU may be selected as core areas; however, the areas listed below are available online as well.
