The Science Education major at Northeastern State University offers three different areas of emphasis: Biology, Chemistry and Earth Space Science.
The Biology emphasis prepares majors to teach middle school science and high school all Biology courses, Physical Science and Earth Science.
The Chemistry emphasis prepares majors to teach middle school science and high school Chemistry, Physical Science and Earth Science.
The Earth Space Science emphasis prepares majors to teach middle school science and high school Physical Science, Earth Science and Geoscience courses.
Certification requires Teacher Candidates to pass certification tests that assess the ability to science and science content knowledge.
