Content Manager Courses
Beginner:
This hands-on course introduces participants to OmniUpdate, NSU's web content management system (CMS).
* First-time attendees require approval through the Vice President for University Relations
Intermediate:
In this course, participants will look at images, image galleries, creating and using Omni Forms and a few key Components to incorporate in their pages.
Advanced Options:
The advanced courses are for experienced content managers only. These are to fine tune content for maximum performance on the web.
Search Engine Optimization:
In SEO training, content managers will take one of the pages they manage and see step by step how to optimize that page for search engines. The skills learned in this hands-on course can be taken and applied to all pages during day to day management to increase overall university SEO.
Accessibility:
Web accessibility for users with disabilities is a legal obligation, as well as an ethical decision. Specific practices for Word, Email, Images, PowerPoint, Videos and PDF documents will be demonstrated in a hands-on lab atmosphere to show creators how to make sure their documents meet university standards.
