The Task Group for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion seeks to further the mission of Northeastern State University to support an "environment where students prepare to achieve professional and personal success in a multicultural and global society." The group focuses on opportunities to enhance the University environment that ensures we recruit and retain a diverse student body and workforce.

The Task Group will review relevant data, existing initiatives and programs, and discuss current challenges regarding:

Recruiting, admitting, retaining, and supporting a diverse student body
Recruiting, retaining, and supporting multicultural faculty and staff
Fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment within our University communities.

The Task Group will (1) make recommendations regarding applicable policy changes or development; (2) make recommendations regarding concrete actions to improve the experiences of a diverse student body and workforce; (3) provide and support training, education, and programming in conjunction with relevant offices. Recommendations are forwarded to the President's Cabinet for review and consideration.
