Letter from the Panhellenic President

Hello!

My name is Abigail Mueller and I am this year’s Panhellenic President! I am so excited that you have chosen to come to NSU and that you’re thinking about going through recruitment! Just know whatever you are feeling right now, scared, excited, anxious, or even lost, everyone here has been in your shoes. When I came in as a freshman I never planned on going through recruitment. I thought there was no point and I didn’t think it would be the place for me. Then as I started talking to all the women in Greek Life more before recruitment I realized there is so much more to Greek Life than I thought. I saw that this was a community of women who would support each other in every moment and push each other to succeed. Quickly I could see that these women did it all. These women are dedicated to their classes, hold multiple leadership positions across different organizations and clubs, are dedicated to service, all on top of showing up for each other. Beyond that I saw the standards and values these women held themselves too. Our sororities show and represent their values daily across campus. These women want you to find your home away from home and they truly want the best for you! If you’re on the fence about going through recruitment, the best piece of advice I could give you is to just give it a try. Because if I hadn’t just given it a chance I would have never found the women who stand by me and support me everyday. Always know that me, Bella, and all of our Rho Gammas are here for you every step of the way! It’s okay to be nervous, excited, anxious, or whatever you’re feeling, we have all been there before. Take in every moment and give yourself a chance to step out and find your place here, because there’s a place for everyone in Greek Life!
