CHANGE F1 STATUS

Items needed for application when changing from F1 to F2 status.

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

Instructions F-1 and J-1 students need to know to apply for a social security number.

CURRICULAR PRACTICAL TRAINING

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is defined to be an alternative work/study, internship, cooperative education, or any other type of required internship or practicum that is offered by sponsoring employers through cooperative agreements with the school.

STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE 

We have a responsibility to make sure our students are able to access appropriate health services while they live and learn as part of the community.

MAINTAIN F-1 STATUS

It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the terms of your immigration status during your stay in the United States.

OPTIONAL PRACTICAL TRAINING

Optional Practical Training allows students in F-1 status to work part-time or full-time in his/her field of study for up to 12 months after completion of each degree level (e.g. Bachelor, Master, Doctorate).

TAX INFORMATION

As an international student or scholar in the U.S. you are obligated to file a U.S. tax return during your stay.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS

Full-time, degree-seeking international students may qualify for an International Student Scholarship.
