Sick and wellness related appointments are available at the Student Health Center on the Tahlequah Campus and at the NEO Health clinic in Muskogee. For Broken Arrow students the Arkansas Verdigris Valley Health Clinic in Coweta  offers services to NSU students.

Student's office visit Co-Pays will be paid by NSU when the Student shows their valid NSU ID at the time of visit.

Mental Health/Counseling Services
HawkReach Student Services offers free counseling services to all enrolled students on all three campuses.   Call 918-444-2042 or go online to schedule an appointment via the HawkReach webpage.  

The Northeastern State University Police Department is made up of certified police officers who have the same powers of arrest and law enforcement authority as municipal and county officers. We work with state, tribal and local law enforcement authorities to investigate crimes on campus and in the community.

Safety Escorts. If you don't feel comfortable walking at night, you may call for an officer to escort you to your campus destination.

Motorist Assistance. Our officers can assist with lock-outs and have battery packs for jump-starting your vehicle on campus.

Tahlequah Campus:

A lactation room is available on the 2nd level of the University Center on the Tahlequah Campus.  

Broken Arrow Campus:

The Broken Arrow Campus has two lactation rooms in the Education and Liberal Arts Departments.  

Muskogee Campus:

A lactation room is located in the Administration Building, Room 150.  

Tahlequah Campus:

  • Located in the OT hallway in the Administration building and in the "Green Room"/Student Lounge for those who mainly use the Mike Synar building.

  • Students in the PA Program have access to lockers located inside their student lounge.

Tahlequah Campus: 

  •  Check out the delicious options at the Market Cafe or one of the many choices in the Underground located in the University Center basement.  Dining services are provided by Sodexo.

Broken Arrow Campus:

  • Hawk's Nest: Our campus cafe, the Hawk's Nest, offers a diverse menu for lunch and dinner. The Hawk's Nest is located on the first floor of the Administrative Services Building.

Muskogee Campus:

  • Vending machines are located in the administration building near the Sunroom and The Green Room in Synar Center.
  • Local food trucks are on campus to provide the opportunity for a meal without leaving campus.  

Financial Services has information for the different types of Jobs on Campus.

Handshake is used on campus to locate and apply for student jobs within NSU campuses.

On-campus and online tutoring is available for most subjects and is free to currently enrolled NSU students.
