Northeastern State University

The Northeastern State University Office of Testing Services offers assistance in taking placement exams in a number of areas. NSU offers the following tests:

• ACT - required for admission to NSU
• Advanced Placement - allows students in high school to take examinations for credit at the college level
• Advanced Standing/Departmental Exams - tests and gives credit for knowledge or skill acquired outside of the classroom
• Placement Exams - freshman-level placement exams
• College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) - gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know by earning qualifying scores
• Miller Analogy Test - a high-level mental ability test requiring the solution of problems stated as analogies
• Proficiency - exams to meet the computer proficiency and english proficiency requirement for graduation
